The New Brand Position
After almost 15 years with modest variations on their identity, this was TV Land's first opportunity to start fresh with a distinctly new identity system. Visual and sonic working hand in hand - a chance to really shake things up.
The "Laugh More" SONIC IDENTITY SYSTEM
What better way to capture the Laugh More" sensibility than with a whistle and a mouth-pop? The TV Land mnemonic is short and will add a quick spark of brand personality in less than a second, so it works in nearly every possible situation.
Brand ANTHEM + Sonic TOOLKIT
Extensive moodboarding allowed us to find specific musical Ingredients to capture our brand values. These ingredients cooked up a track that fills us with a sense of FUNNY, UPBEAT, ENGAGING, FUN. All of this must feel contemporary but also reflect the more vintage EXPERIENCE of their audience. Finding that balance allows their new color palette and style the life it needs with just the right emotional support to help define the new TV LAND brand. From the anthem we were able to create a sonic tool kit that works on a day to day basis with newly shot shows and promos.
TVLand moved to a music forward position in its audience engagement, producing music driven campaigns. This is an inspired series of iconic black Americans telling their stories directly to the audience. The campaign was awarded GOLD at Promax North America.
